Washington County Pit Bulls add Defensive Secondary Coach

The Washington County Pit Bulls are proud to announce another hiring of Defensive Secondary Coach Kevin White.

(Hillsboro OR) Despite all the inclement weather and being snowed out of two open tryouts, operations at the Washington County Pit Bulls continue to move along in the off season.  

The Washington County Pit Bulls are proud to announce the hiring of Defensive Secondary Coach Kevin White.

"Coach White is a big pick up for our coaching staff.  When taking over this team, I wanted to give players all the coaching resources as possible to refine and hone their craft. Coach White's extensive resume and his personality is a natural fit for our culture that we are building here at the Washington County Pit Bulls" Head Coach Mark Ancheta remarked.

Defensive Coordinator Calvin Bell-  "Coach Kevin White has decades of football knowledge that he brings to the table. It is a pleasure to bring him on board. I'm looking forward to working him. Can't wait"!

Played in the New England Football League for 13+ years started every game played-

Started with the Seacoast Hawks played 3 seasons with earning a championship, Monadnock Marauders for 2 seasons then went on to start at Husson University,  After college went to play for ex-NFL New England Patriot's Steve Grogan's team Woonsocket Sentinel's for a season,  Moved on to South Dakota Lawdawgs then back to the Marauders being the first DB from the team to make all-stars. White honed his skills from former NFL player and friends Jerry Azumah and Tim Mckyer. Moved back to Oregon in 2012.  A tryout with the Portland Monarchs was sidelined due to surgery from a MMA injury. White recently saw playing action this past September in the West Linn/Oregon City Alumni Game.  

White is quoted, "I still have plenty of gas in the tank to play but also have a lot of knowledge upstairs to teach. After meeting for a few hours with Coach Ancheta and Coach Bell I was more than impressed with the vision they had with making this organization successful on and off the field that I knew I wanted to be apart of it without question, I look forward to contributing to the upcoming season".

The Washington County Pit Bulls open up their OTAs Saturday January 21, 2017. Players will have their first chance to meet the recent coaching hire and start to put in work towards the 2017 season. 

The Pit Bulls continue to bring in talent that is looking to try out for the 2017 season.  Preferred athletes are Offensive Line, Defensive Line and Linebackers.  All athletes are welcome to try out. Any athletes interested in trying out for the team can register for a tryout at the link below.
