(Hillsboro, OR)

The Washington County Pit Bulls are proud to announce their 2018 Season Schedule!!!

The Pit Bulls are coming off of an impressive inaugural season for the newly re-branded Pit Bulls team that finished with a 5-3 record and the runner up to the Pacific Football League champion.

"We did a lot of good things last season that we are very proud of.  We built up a lot of momentum with the re-branding of the team to the Washington County and we continue to build a loyal fan base that continues to grow.  We are proud provide athletes a platform to build an athletic resume on film.  We are especially proud to say that one of our athletes is making the best of the opportunity and now playing in Junior College and another athlete with a shot at making team rosters in the Canadian Football League.  This season we are teaming up with a few other local non profits to help give them exposure as well"  said Pit Bulls Head Coach Mark Ancheta.

The 2017 season was the final season of the Pacific Football League.  "I started my minor league football coaching career with the Portland Monarchs when the league was the Oregon Football League and then the league morphed to the Pacific Football League.   With the diminishing roster of the PFL, it was time for a change" coach Ancheta stated.  The Pit Bulls and the Portland Raiders make the move to enter the 2018 season as part of the Western Washington Football Alliance.  The league is an 18 team league with three divisions.  While the 2018 season is the inaugural season for the Pit Bulls in the WWFA,  there are teams that the Pit Bulls are familiar with.  The South Sound Night Hawks,  Vancouver Vipers are former teams that parted from the PFL.  The Pit Bulls defeated the Cowlitz County Cobras in a 21-16 victory in the 2017 season opener last April.
